Research the services clients actually search for

Broad construction keywords can mix homeowners, commercial buyers, job seekers and product research. Start with the work you deliver and the locations you can serve profitably. Distinguish local residential searches from commercial refurbishment, specialist packages and sector-specific needs.

Construction search intent
ExampleUseful destination
House extension contractor [town]Residential service, comparable builds and consultation process
Commercial refurbishment contractor [region]Sector experience, delivery scope and project evidence
Construction company [town]Clear capabilities, genuine coverage and contact routes
Specialist contractor for [package]Defined package, capacity and relevant projects

Connect services, sectors and projects

A service page explains capability. A sector page explains relevant experience and the buyer’s constraints. A project page provides evidence of your contribution. Use each where it serves a distinct purpose, with internal links that help a client follow the relationship.

Avoid near-identical pages for every service and town. Use approved local projects and genuine coverage to determine location content. Preserve established URLs where practical and plan redirects if restructuring is necessary.

Support local discovery accurately

Review your eligible Google Business Profile, contact details, categories, hours and services. Request honest reviews and publish original project photographs. Represent real locations and do not imply offices in every target town.

Local visibility varies with customer location, query and competition. Regional or national ambitions may need a broader content and authority plan than a local package.

Make evidence easy to understand and access

Explain your role, scope, site constraints and delivery approach. Attribute architects, designers and partners correctly. Date relevant credentials and review older claims. Useful answers about project stages, quotations and working arrangements can support early research.

Check mobile usability, image sizes, titles, headings, canonicals, indexing and crawlable internal links. Make important capability information available as readable web content rather than only in a downloadable brochure.

Build relevant authority and assess outcomes

Link building and Digital PR can support discovery through useful resources and credible stories. They need genuine evidence and relevant audiences. Search and AI systems control their results; no particular placement is guaranteed.

Review relevant search activity alongside qualified briefs and subsequent sales progress. Recruitment traffic and generic informational visits should not be presented as new-business success.

Explore our related trade website work

Our portfolio includes landscaping, gates, metalwork, electrical and other trade websites. JDM Gardens and Auto Gates Kent have case studies explaining their reported enquiries and measurement context.

These show related trade experience. They are not commercial main-contractor tender results or evidence of a construction PR campaign.

Local Authority includes core home, about, contact, project and review sections, up to 10 core service pages and a primary town plus up to five nearby launch areas where genuine coverage and distinct evidence justify them. Ongoing work includes 8–10 researched new pages monthly within the agreed plan.

First month free with a three-month initial commitment. Months two and three are £499 each (£998 total for the initial three months). From month four, the ongoing website and SEO optimisation plan continues at £499/month on a monthly rolling agreement until cancelled. We agree trade and primary-town exclusivity before starting; overlapping areas need separate agreement. After completing the initial three-month commitment and paying all outstanding fees, content and agreed assets can be handed over, with platform and transfer scope confirmed. See full scope and ownership details.

Local Authority is a defined local website and SEO package. A national contractor, multi-brand group, extensive sector library or procurement integration may need a tailored scope. We assess the brief before recommending a package.

GOOD TO KNOW

Questions we hear often.

Can SEO help commercial contractors?+

It can improve discovery and understanding of relevant capabilities. It does not replace procurement requirements or guarantee a tender invitation.

Should every town have a page?+

Only where coverage and useful distinct information justify it. We assess overlap and the customer need.

How soon will SEO produce contracts?+

There is no fixed timeline. Site condition, demand, competition and the buying cycle all affect outcomes.

Can we retain our existing website?+

We assess its content, platform and structure before recommending improvements or a rebuild.
