Help visitors decide whether you are the right trade
Potential customers want to know what you do, where you work and whether you can handle their project. A trade website should answer those questions before asking them to get in touch. We organise content around the customer's decision, using your own work and accurate business information.
Web design for tradesmen and tradespeople needs to support different journeys. A homeowner planning a garden may compare several projects and materials. Someone replacing a broken garage door may look first for coverage and the enquiry process. The website should make the relevant next step easy.

What the website includes
- A branded homepage, about and contact pages.
- Project and review sections using genuine supplied evidence.
- Up to 10 core service pages within the agreed launch scope.
- Primary-town coverage and up to five relevant nearby areas.
- Clear headings, navigation, page titles and crawlable internal links.
- Mobile layouts, accessible labels and a practical enquiry form.
- Hosting, maintenance and agreed analytics and enquiry tracking.
We agree services, locations and content requirements before the build. Additional functions, extensive catalogues or substantial extra pages need a separate scope. We avoid publishing interchangeable town pages with no useful information.
A useful page for each priority service
Explain the service, show a comparable project and describe how the quotation works. A fencing page can show styles, access considerations and installation examples. A decorator's page can explain preparation, finishes and completed rooms. A plumber's installation page can address credentials and the survey process.
Projects supply the evidence: original photographs, the brief, materials, broad location and what your team delivered. We use truthful reviews and credentials, with permission where required. We do not invent jobs to make a page look established.
Make enquiries straightforward on mobile
Important information should remain readable without zooming, images should support the decision, and the form should be easy to complete. Ask for enough to qualify the project without turning the first enquiry into an exhaustive survey.
The route can collect name, email, contact number, service, postcode and a short brief. We agree delivery and confirmation, and distinguish successful submissions from button clicks. WhatsApp can provide an additional route where the business has somebody responsible for messages.
The website and SEO work together
Useful design gives visitors confidence; relevant content and sound technical foundations help search engines understand it. Our Local Authority package combines those tasks instead of handing over a website with no ongoing plan.
After launch, we choose 8–10 researched new pages a month, alongside Google Business Profile work, internal linking, technical SEO and reporting. The priorities follow your actual services, coverage and customer evidence. See SEO for tradesmen.
£499 a month, with no setup fee
The website is included within Local Authority's agreed scope. First month free with a three-month initial commitment. Months two and three are £499 each (£998 total for the initial three months). From month four, the ongoing website and SEO optimisation plan continues at £499/month on a monthly rolling agreement until cancelled. No separate setup charge. Google Ads management, Meta advertising and link building are optional and separately priced.
Account and website ownership
Your domain remains yours. Website ownership and handover are available after completing the initial three-month commitment and paying all outstanding fees under the package terms. We agree the platform, handover method and any ongoing hosting or care before starting, so you understand what a transfer involves. See the current package terms.
Compare the full service, not just a website price
A DIY builder, a brochure-site subscription and a managed website with ongoing local SEO deliver different things. Compare the number and quality of pages, copywriting, project presentation, maintenance, tracking, account access and handover terms. A low monthly hosting price alone does not tell you what work is included.
Use only the accreditations relevant to your business and held by the contractor. Explain the quotation process and realistic response arrangements. Emergency availability should appear only where your team actually provides it.
What we need from you
Your services, coverage, business details, approved logo, project photographs, relevant reviews and credentials, plus access needed for the agreed setup. We can help organise the information, but first-hand evidence comes from the business. We confirm pages and enquiry routing before launch.
If you already have a site, we assess useful content and URLs before deciding what to change. A migration needs a plan for existing addresses, redirects and measurement so an improved design does not casually discard established pages.
