Start with the buyer and the contract you want
Construction marketing covers several different markets. A homeowner considering an extension wants confidence in the team, process and finished work. A commercial client may assess sector experience, delivery constraints and programme. A main contractor needs a clear view of a subcontractor’s package, capacity and relevant credentials.
| Audience | Typical need | Useful website evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Homeowners | Extensions, renovations or a new home | Comparable builds, process, reviews and enquiry route |
| Commercial clients and developers | Refurbishment or a defined construction project | Sector experience, delivery role and project constraints |
| Main contractors | A specialist subcontract package | Capabilities, coverage, capacity and named commercial contact |
| Architects and consultants | A suitable delivery partner | Design coordination experience and accurate project credits |
We agree which audience matters before selecting services and content. Construction companies with several divisions need clear navigation; local builders can use the more focused marketing for builders pages.
Build a credible website around your capability
Your website should explain services, project types, coverage and the enquiry process. Use original photography, clear descriptions of your role and approved client testimonials. Distinguish design responsibility, main contracting and subcontract work so the portfolio accurately represents what you delivered.
Show accreditations, memberships and insurance information only where current and relevant. Do not imply a supplier’s or project partner’s credentials belong to your own business.
Choose channels around how clients appoint contractors
Local and service-specific SEO can support discovery by homeowners and regional clients. Google Search Ads reaches active searches when demand and job economics justify spending. Facebook and Instagram can introduce visual residential projects and help people explore your work.
Commercial opportunities may also develop through professional relationships, procurement processes, trade events and relevant industry networks. LinkedIn activity and email updates can support those relationships, but are not automatically included in our website or paid-search package.
Turn completed work into useful marketing material
Explain the brief, your scope, challenges, approach and finished outcome. Project stories can support service pages, sales conversations and, where newsworthy, Digital PR. Relevant link building can help people discover useful resources and verified project work through other websites.
Obtain approval for client names, site imagery and commercial information. Publish measured results only with supporting evidence and permission. Keep future work and confidential procurement details out of public case studies.
Measure enquiries through the sales process
Separate residential quote requests, commercial briefs and subcontracting opportunities. Record project fit, stage, meetings, tender invitations, quotations and awards where relevant. A website form or tender invitation is not an awarded contract. See our construction lead generation approach.
Explore our related trade website work
Our portfolio includes landscaping, gates, metalwork, electrical and other trade websites. JDM Gardens and Auto Gates Kent have case studies explaining their reported enquiries and measurement context.
These show related trade experience. They are not commercial main-contractor tender results or evidence of a construction PR campaign.
Fees and agreed scope
Local Authority includes core home, about, contact, project and review sections, up to 10 core service pages and a primary town plus up to five nearby launch areas where genuine coverage and distinct evidence justify them. Ongoing work includes 8–10 researched new pages monthly within the agreed plan.
First month free with a three-month initial commitment. Months two and three are £499 each (£998 total for the initial three months). From month four, the ongoing website and SEO optimisation plan continues at £499/month on a monthly rolling agreement until cancelled. We agree trade and primary-town exclusivity before starting; overlapping areas need separate agreement. After completing the initial three-month commitment and paying all outstanding fees, content and agreed assets can be handed over, with platform and transfer scope confirmed. See full scope and ownership details.
Local Authority is a defined local website and SEO package. A national contractor, multi-brand group, extensive sector library or procurement integration may need a tailored scope. We assess the brief before recommending a package.
