Local SEO built around the jobs you want

Getting found is useful when the search matches work your business can fulfil. We start with your priority services, the towns you cover profitably and your available capacity. That gives the website a commercial purpose beyond collecting impressions for broad terms.

For tradesmen and tradespeople, customers often combine a service with a place or “near me”. They may compare Maps listings, read service pages and look at projects before asking for a quote. We connect those steps so a potential customer can see what you offer, where you work and why you are a suitable choice.

What we work on

Service and town pages with a reason to exist

Research the language customers use for individual jobs: consumer unit upgrades, closeboard fencing, resin driveways or interior decorating, paired with places you actually cover. Separate installation from repairs where the customer needs and evidence differ.

Each page should explain the work, show relevant projects, answer practical questions and link to the next step. Nearby towns do not automatically need every service duplicated. Retain useful existing addresses, check indexing and make location pages distinctive through genuine local detail.

Build authority with useful information

Cost factors, material comparisons, maintenance advice and project stories can help customers assess an offer. Make the author and business details clear, use descriptive image captions and alt text, and keep photographs appropriately sized. Relevant supplier and local relationships can support discovery; link building is a separate optional service.

Google Maps and the places you serve

Your Business Profile should represent the real business, its services and accurate contact information. We review the profile and how it connects to the website. Genuine reviews and project photographs help customers assess your business; invented locations or keyword-stuffed business names do not belong in the plan.

Maps visibility varies with the searcher's location and the competition. We agree a primary town and sensible nearby coverage rather than promising that listing a county makes you rank everywhere. Explore Google Maps marketing.

SEO and AI search visibility

A customer may start with Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Claude or Perplexity. We make key service information accessible, factual and supported by actual projects and business details. Useful answers help customers assess the business wherever they encounter the content.

Google says established SEO practices remain relevant to its AI features, with no special additional optimisation required. Read Google's AI guidance. Other platforms have their own retrieval systems; appearing in a particular answer cannot be guaranteed. See our AI search approach.

Choose your SEO starting point

Local Authority includes a branded website with home, about, contact, project and review sections, plus up to 10 core service pages. Launch coverage is your primary town and up to five nearby areas where genuine coverage and distinct evidence support them.

Ongoing work includes Google Business Profile support, technical and on-page SEO, internal linking, hosting, maintenance and monthly reporting. We choose 8–10 researched new pages each month around commercial relevance. There is no setup fee. First month free with a three-month initial commitment. Months two and three are £499 each (£998 total for the initial three months). From month four, the ongoing website and SEO optimisation plan continues at £499/month on a monthly rolling agreement until cancelled.

Google Ads management and link building are optional, separately priced services. We confirm the trade, area and deliverables before work starts.

Measure progress through enquiries

We review visibility and recorded enquiry activity, then use your feedback on service fit, quotations and won work. A ranking for an irrelevant phrase is less useful than a qualified request from the right town. Tracking can show a form submission; your business still needs to record whether it became a customer.

GOOD TO KNOW

Questions we hear often.

How long does SEO for tradesmen take?+

There is no fixed timeline. Starting condition, competition, demand and the scope affect progress. We agree priorities and review evidence rather than promise a date for page-one rankings.

Can you work with an existing website?+

SEO for Small Business starts from £499/month for a functional existing website, subject to suitable access and an agreed scope.

We review it first. Useful pages and URLs may be retained where practical. We explain whether the existing platform supports the work or why a rebuild is appropriate, and confirm scope before starting.

Do you guarantee rankings or AI recommendations?+

No. Search and AI platforms control their results. We improve the website and local information, monitor available evidence and explain the limits.

Is the website included in £499?+

Yes, within the agreed Local Authority launch scope. There is no separate setup charge. Google Ads and link building are optional extras.
