Who we are

Built for Local is operated by Greenboost Ltd. Greenboost Ltd is responsible for the personal information collected through this website and our enquiries.

For privacy questions or requests, email hello@builtforlocal.uk.

Information we collect

When you send an enquiry, we collect the information you provide: your name, business name, email address, contact number, website (if supplied), trade or industry, town or area, services and packages of interest, and your message. We also receive information you send by email or WhatsApp and any subsequent correspondence.

Our hosting and form providers may process technical information such as your IP address, browser, requested pages and request times to deliver their services and protect against abuse.

Please do not include sensitive personal information, passwords or payment details in an enquiry.

How and why we use it

We use enquiry information to understand your business and goals, check availability, respond to your questions and discuss relevant services.

  • Enquiries and business correspondence: our legitimate interests in responding to people who contact us and managing business relationships.
  • Requested quotations and services: taking steps at your request before entering a contract, or performing a contract, where applicable.
  • Website operation and security: our legitimate interests in keeping the website available and preventing spam or misuse.
  • Required business records: compliance with legal obligations where these apply.

The enquiry form is a request for a response about your business; it does not include a newsletter subscription.

Service providers and sharing

The enquiry form sends your submission to Formspree, which processes it and delivers it to us. Formspree may also carry out spam prevention and security checks. Read Formspree’s privacy policy for details of its processing.

Website hosting, email and communications providers process information needed to deliver their services. The site also loads fonts from Google Fonts, which involves a request from your browser to Google. If you choose to contact us through WhatsApp, WhatsApp’s own privacy terms apply to that service.

Information may also be disclosed where required by law or where necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

International processing

Some providers operate outside the UK. Formspree states that it processes information in the United States and other countries where it operates. This means a form submission may be processed internationally.

You can contact us for information about the providers and transfer arrangements relevant to your enquiry. Formspree’s privacy policy explains its international processing and protections.

How long information is kept

Retention depends on the purpose of the information. Relevant factors include whether your enquiry is still active, whether it leads to an ongoing client relationship, and whether records are needed for accounting, legal obligations or resolving a dispute. Information should not be retained longer than needed for those purposes.

Contact us if you would like to know the retention period applicable to your information or request its deletion. Provider-held records are also subject to the provider’s retention arrangements.

Cookies and external services

The website’s own page scripts do not set analytics or advertising cookies, and the site does not currently include Google Analytics or advertising tracking pixels. Our hosting and form services may use necessary security technologies.

Submitting the form may take you to Formspree for a security check. Cookies or similar technologies on Formspree and other external services are covered by their own policies. You can manage cookies through your browser settings.

Your privacy rights

Depending on the circumstances and lawful basis, you may have the right to access your personal information, correct it, request deletion, restrict its use, object to processing based on legitimate interests, or receive certain information in a portable format. These rights have conditions and exceptions.

Send requests to hello@builtforlocal.uk. We may need to confirm your identity before disclosing or changing personal information.

If you have a concern, please contact us. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the website or our processing changes. The date at the top shows when this version was updated.
