Separate early ideas from projects ready to quote
Agree which projects fit the business before choosing a lead source. An extension idea without a developed brief differs from a renovation with drawings or a builder’s invitation to price a subcontract package. Both may be relevant, but they need different next steps.
| Information | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Project type | Match extensions, renovations, new builds or smaller work |
| Location and property context | Check coverage and relevant experience |
| Approximate scope | Understand the scale without demanding technical detail |
| Current stage | Distinguish ideas, developed drawings and tender requests |
| Preferred timing | Compare with project and quoting capacity |
| Budget expectations, where useful | Start a realistic conversation about scope |
Keep the first form short and let customers say they are unsure. The builder assesses the brief and quotation requirements. A form does not establish approval status, technical feasibility or a final price.
Compare lead sources by what they actually provide
| Model | What you receive | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Own website and campaigns | Direct enquiries under your brand | Service fit, qualification and outcomes |
| Trade platforms | Contacts or job opportunities under platform terms | Sharing, fees, duplicates and suitability |
| Planning or project databases | Information about potential projects | Stage, currency, permitted use and contact suitability |
| Tender platforms | Procurement opportunities | Requirements, eligibility and resources to bid |
Our standard service promotes your own business through SEO, Google Ads and suitable Meta campaigns. We do not distribute your campaign enquiries to a contractor panel. Customers may independently compare builders.
A planning record is not an invitation to quote or evidence that the owner wants to be contacted. Database access, direct-mail programmes, tender writing and third-party subscriptions are not included in our standard fees.
Organise follow-up around the buying process
Acknowledge requests, check service fit and agree the next action. Record conversations, site meetings, specification requests, quotes and decisions. Avoid treating every early-stage contact as a booked project. Booking, CRM integration and automated nurture require separate scope.
Judge acquisition cost against contribution
Include management fees and spend when evaluating paid campaigns. Compare qualified opportunities and won projects with the time spent quoting and the contribution after delivery costs. Record why enquiries do not progress and use that feedback to refine the campaign.
Marketing for builders: pricing
Local Authority includes core website sections, up to 10 core service pages and a primary town plus up to five nearby launch areas where genuine coverage and distinct evidence justify them. We add 8–10 pages each month around the agreed service and location plan, with internal linking, Google Business Profile optimisation, technical SEO, hosting, maintenance and monthly reporting. We agree topics and the evidence needed before producing them.
First month free with a three-month initial commitment. Months two and three are £499 each (£998 total for the initial three months). From month four, the ongoing website and SEO optimisation plan continues at £499/month on a monthly rolling agreement until cancelled. Trade and primary-town exclusivity are agreed before starting. After completing the initial three-month commitment and paying all outstanding fees, content and agreed assets can be handed over, with platform and transfer scope confirmed. Larger regional campaigns, extensive service libraries and integrations need separate assessment. Read package and handover details.
